US-Saudi Business Forum – Expanding Trade – Luncheon Keynote

The U.S.-Saudi Business Opportunities Forum was a high-level gathering of senior officials and business leaders from Saudi Arabia and the United States.  The two-day forum was designed to increase understanding and explore opportunities for greater economic collaboration between the two nations.

The forum was held in Chicago on April 28-29, 2010. The first day luncheon keynote remarks were on the topic of “Expanding U.S.-Saudi Trade in a Competitive World.”

Dr. Afnan Al-Shuaiby, Board Member, Committee for International Trade and Secretary General and CEO, Arab-British Chamber of Commerce, introduced the first speaker, H.E Abdullah Alireza, Minister of Commerce and Industry.

Mr. James Albaugh, President and CEO, Commercial Airplanes, The Boeing Company, introduced The Honorable Gary Locke, U.S. Secretary of Commerce.

The remarks were followed by the signing of Memoranda of Understanding between Saudi and American business and government officials.
