Great Decisions on the Gulf – Kagan

As you know the Obama administration set out a pretty ambitious agenda for Iraq in terms of troop withdrawal and draw down. All combat troops are supposedly going to be out of Iraq in less than a year; is the withdrawal of American forces on such a short timetable a mistake?

That’s the first of a number of questions posed to Frederick Kagan, Senior Fellow, American Enterprise Institute, in a Great Decisions interview by the Foreign Policy Association.  The Great Decisions discussion program provides videos to groups around the country that take up key issues in international affairs each year.  In 2010 one of the eight topics is on “Power, Politics and the Persian Gulf.”  In addition to the videos the FPA.org web site is rich with resources on this and seven other timely topics.  TRANSCRIPT
