Secretary Clinton at US-Islamic World Forum

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton spoke at the U.S.-Islamic World Forum in Doha, Qatar on February 14, 2010.  Clinton was visiting Qatar and Saudi Arabia.  Her remarks are provided in this video and in the transcript on the State Department Web site (here).

In her remarks Clinton reaffirms the perspective of President Obama’s Cairo speech about positive relations between Americans and the Muslim world. In a wide-ranging speech she also reviews U.S. foreign policy challenges in the areas of: the Middle East Peace process, Iranian nuclear aspirations, violent extremism, Afghanistan, Iraq, Gitmo, the new U.S. regulations on international passenger security and screening, opportunities for young people, partnerships and people-to-people engagement, reform and women’s issues, and expanding dialogue.
